This feasibility study, carried out for a well known UK plc, tests the potential of a suburban site to provide a high quality, flexible working environment with excellent levels of staff amenity and a high degree of sustainability.

Innovations & added value

The linear plan of the proposal is curved around an existing garden and nature conservancy, with a high degree of transparency on the garden-facing side. The project also explored the potential of gridshell and tension structures to enclose space with the fewest possible columns. The client was excited by the possibility of using timber as a primary material.
