Project description

Relocation of existing British Airways Flight Training facilities to the Maintenance Base within the Heathrow Airport Boundary. The aim is to provide a world-class Flight Academy including facilities for all training departments in one location. The key training equipment, the flight simulators, will be installed in the grade two listed hangar construction designed by Owen Williams in 1950.

Innovations & added value

Re-use of existing properties – the scheme revives currently only partially used buildings and ensures that these are enhanced and maintained for the future.
