On Wednesday 23rd of April we achieved a unanimous planning approval at Committee for a new Safestore unit in Kingston.
This was a challenging site surrounded by residential properties on 2 sides, a conservation area, and a railway line.
The building has been designed predominantly in brickwork with a light-weight metal recessed top floor to minimise the visual impact on the neighbours.
A lengthy neighbourhood consultation was undertaken which enabled the team to understand, and successfully respond to, the concerns of local residents.
