Project description

A new multiplex cinema and restaurants, renewing and enhancing the leisure offer at Broughton Shopping Park, Flintshire.

Innovations & added value

The project extends the existing retail park typology, using restaurant units to provide active frontage to a multiplex cinema at street level. The design has a simple, legible geometry where a continuous frontage canopy is lifted up to give prominence to the multiplex entrance. Attention was given to signage, lighting and the transition from day though dusk to night time use. There is flexibility in the design to accommodate changing tenant requirements.
