Peacehaven excels at RTPI awards

Our wastewater treatment works project for Southern Water won an RTPI South East Planning Award for Excellence in Planning and Design in the Public Realm and was also awarded the overall Regional Winner for 2014.

The scheme was won during an intensive design competition, with the brief to design a major infrastructure project within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and adjacent to a significant residential development. Our solution was to bury the facility into the side of the South Downs hills and put the largest green roof in Europe over the top. Savills provided the planning advice and Costain built the facility.
