Projects / Hotel du Vin, Stratford-Upon-Avon

Client

S Harrison Developments

Project description

This boutique hotel is the latest addition to the Hotel du Vin portfolio, in Straford-Upon-Avon, the historic birthplace of Shakespeare. The project saw a £5 million extension and sensitive conversion of two Grade-II listed Georgian buildings.

Totalling 38,500 sqft, the prestigious hotel offers 46 luxurious bedrooms, meeting and private dining rooms, a separate banqueting room with space for 80 diners, a bar and bistro with al fresco dining space in the new private courtyard.

Innovations & added value

The project has required an intelligent approach to minimise the extent of changes to the existing  building and restore the most significant elements. There has been a tactical approach in forming new spaces and making connections within the listed building to accommodate the hotel use; maximising value and maintaining a low built form.
