3DReid’s design for a prime, new-build residential development at Broadbent Street in Mayfair for Real Estate Resolutions Ltd (RER) has been resolved to grant consent by Westminster Council.

The 10,000sqft development will consist of six high quality, modern units, with a mix of two and three bedroom private units over five storeys.

Designed sympathetically to the Mayfair context and local Conservation Area, the plan form maximises both the number of units and the quality and efficiency of the internal spaces, characterised by floor to ceiling windows and generous living areas.  The massing and materials and the façade will complement the existing streetscape, using brick with stone detailing to the windows.

A local artist will be commissioned to work in collaboration with the design team to create a public artwork embedded within the architectural metalwork.

The project will commence on site in June with a completion in July 2013.  3DReid are architects for the project and the main contractor is still to be appointed.

3DReid Project Architect Paula Robertson said,  “We are delighted to receive consent from Westminster Council for the project, which has required a highly sensitive use of scale, massing and materials to fit within the considered context of the Mayfair Conservation Area.”
