Jonathan Mosley Norwich Union Offices, Castle Park, BristolThe project is located on a currently derelict building on the edge of Castle Park, Bristol. The previous Norwich Union office buildings are to be reinstated and adapted with a series of interventions throughout the site. Play dictates the nature of the programmatic interventions within the building. Creative industries everyday processes such as craft, collaboration and individual skill development incorporate playful behavior. The juxtaposition that will be created by the deployment of both creative industries and commercial sector within the same central Bristol location is in itself ‘playful’. The collision of these two programme types within the building creates new interactions between individuals within everyday activity.
