30th September - 1st October 2008 Exploiting investment, development and design opportunities in a renewed Glasgow
The regeneration of Glasgow is one of the Government's and City Council's key priorities which has created a huge commercial opportunity for architects and developers. The challenge facing all the key stakeholders now is how will all the different projects be linked up, what work is available and who are the key people and organisations involved? The conference, to be held at The Lighthouse in Glasgow, will discuss the challenges of:
- The integration of different regeneration projects - The importance of design independence for Glasgow - Dealing with areas of dereliction - Incorporating the Commonwealth Games Developments into existing Masterplans - The implication of an upcoming Tall Building Policy Divisional Director Tim Gray will be speaking on the 1st October: "Preparing for the legacy of the Commonwealth Games and transforming purpose built 2014 structures into permanent features of Glasgow’s urban landscape."
