Future Terminal

Our ever shrinking world is typified by speed of communication, the availability of technology and the desire for choice, all set within the paradoxical context of an ever more prominent security agenda. The aviation industry and the airports which serve it are not in themselves catalysts for evolution but they are accurate barometers of human advancement and at the sharp end when it comes to the need to encompass change.

For most passengers the airport is not a destination in itself but merely a significant event along the way. The fundamental purpose of a terminal as a passenger processing facility and transport interchange is unlikely to alter but the specific transactions, facilities, equipment and component elements that make up an airport are the subject of constant re-evaluation and change.
